This October, Nillumbik Leisure will again celebrate Seniors Month and we have a fun filled month of activities from the 1st through to the 31st October, 2023.
Regular physical activity not only strengthens muscles and improves balance, reducing the risk of falls, but also boosts mood and cognitive function. Engaging in activities like walking, dancing and gentle stretching helps maintain flexibility and vitality, equally important is the power of social connection.
Building and maintaining relationships with friends and family, participating in group activities and joining clubs or community events, can combat feelings of isolation and loneliness. Together, exercise and connection create a recipe for a vibrant and fulfilling senior lifestyle.
