This Girl Can is back for 2022!

Only half of Victorian women are consistently active, meaning they miss out on the health benefits of physical activity. This Girl Can – Victoria celebrates real, everyday Victorian women of all shapes, sizes, backgrounds and abilities to show that you can get out there. We love supporting women to get active – howeverwherever and whenever YOU choose!

Nillumbik Leisure Facilities welcomes you to two weeks of FREE activities for women, open to members and non-members. We have put together a program for the two weeks across different times of day, at our various locations and with a variety of sessions that are suitable for beginners. Once registered below we will call and email you to chat more about the various classes and opportunities you have access to over the week.

When you register for This Girl Can week, you have access to our calendar of activities as well as the Health Club outside of the programmed session times.

Additionally we are offering free childcare sessions  – bookings are essential. When you register please select the childcare sessions you’d like to book and we will be in contact with you about the next steps.

This Girl Can – 5th – 25th September  

  • Mon 12th – Meditation and Morning Tea, Eltham Leisure Centre 11.15am in the reformer Pilates room – A 30 minute session to kickstart This Girl Can and reset your mind.
  • Mon 12th & 19th – Body Balance with Denise, Eltham Leisure Centre 11.30am – a mixture of Pilates and Yoga exercises to help build strength and increase flexibility.
  • Mon 12th & 19th – Pilates with Vic, Eltham Leisure Centre 5:30pm – Strength, postural, flexibility, balance and endurance training.
  • Tue 13th & 20th – Cycle with Kerri, Eltham Leisure Centre 9:10am – freestyle cycling workout.
  • Tue 13th & 20th – Step45 with Meredith, Diamond Creek Community Centre 9:20am – challenge yourself with an 80s fun for all step workout.
  • Tue 13th & 20th – Aqua with Carole, Eltham Leisure Centre 9:15am – use water resistance to challenge your entire body.
  • Tue 13th & 20th – Body Step with Carole, Eltham Leisure Centre 5:30pm – energizing workout using a step or without, you can choose what works for you!
  • Wed 14th & 21st – Yogalates with Lee, Eltham Leisure Centre 9:10am – fusion of Yoga and Pilates practices.
  • Wed 14th & 21st – Aqua with Bridget, Eltham Leisure Centre 6:15pm – use water resistance to challenge your entire body.
  • Wed 14th & 21st – Boxing with Kerri, Diamond Creek Community Centre 6:05pm – partnered cardio workout using your body weight at your own pace (equipment provided).
  • Thurs 15th & 22nd – Zumba Gold with Jo, Diamond Creek Community Centre 9:20am – dance your way through your workout! All ages friendly.
  • Thurs 15th & 22nd – Yoga with Tina, Diamond Creek Community Centre, 10:25am – stretch & strengthen your muscles and enjoy a peaceful moment to reset.
  • Fri 16th & 23rd – Tone with Meredith, Diamond Creek Community Centre 9:20am – a cardio, core and resistance class.
  • Fri 16th & 23rd – Relentless Plus with Renee or Dan, Diamond Creek Community Centre 10:25am – a range of exercises using your bodyweight or weights to introduce you to new ways to workout.
  • Fri 16th & 23rd – Women with Drive, Eltham Leisure Centre 8 – 11am – have fun putting with the Yarrambat Golf Team.
  • Sat 17th & 24th – Body Pump with Emily, Eltham Leisure Centre 4:15pm – a structured weight-based strength workout.
  • Sun 18th & 25th – Body Combat with Ning, Eltham Leisure Centre 10:15am – release your inner power with this fun strength and cardio work out.
